Chinese Vice Premier Zeng Peiyan met in Beijing on Thursday with Peter Loescher, chief executive officer of German industrial group Siemens.
China hopes Siemens company can maintain the long-term cooperative relations with Chinese enterprises in the fields of environmental protection, clean energy and renewable energy, Zeng said.
As a leading electronic company in the world, Siemens is an important partner to conduct economic and technological cooperation with China, Zeng said.
China has a broad market and to expand business in China is mutually beneficial and is helpful to boost trade between China and Germany, he said.
Loescher became Siemens' new chief executive officer in early July this year.
