Vice President Xi Jinping called for Party and government officials Friday to resolve protruding problems that affect and restrict the country's development as well as issues relating to Party's integrity and working style that the public are complaining about.
Xi, also member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, made the call at a meeting attended by officials from the central government departments.
Top priorities should be made to dealing with the impacts of the global financial crisis and ensuring economic growth, people's life, and social stability, he said.
He told leading officials at different levels to take the lead in dealing with the difficult problems that affect a broad range of sectors and people.
