China's Vice President Xi Jinping on Thursday urged members of the Communist Party of China (CPC) to keep on learning to enhance the innovation capability and vitality of the party.
"Learning is key to the inheritance of civilization, to people's personal growth, to the consolidation of a political party, and to the prosperity of a nation," Xi, who is also President of the Party School of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee's Political Bureau, said at the opening ceremony of a training class in the school.
He urged all members of the CPC to learn more about "scientific theories and advance their knowledge," so that the party could enhance its innovation capability and vitality.
Authorities should also improve the assessment of the CPC members' learning progress and make it a key reference in the promotion and appointment of party officials, he said. Source: Xinhua |
