On January 20, interviews for selecting vice department-level officials from migrant workers took place in Suining, Sichuan province. The reporters saw a series of exams from which 15 migrant workers won the "Tickets" and delightedly entered the interview room.
After the finish of the interviews, in terms of total scores, 60 percent will be for the written examination and 40 percent for the interviews, the first 2 examinees will be selected as review candidates. The scores of the 15 migrant worker examinees were publicized on the spot and 6 of them would be further reviewed. Fang Wei, a migrant worker examinee said, "From written examination to interview, the whole process showed openness, fairness, competition and he best one is chosen, which set our hearts at rest."
This work began in the early November, 2009. The positions to be determined through examination include Vice Director of Investment Promotion Bureau of Daying County, Vice Chief of a township government in Pengxi County and Vice Chief of a township government in Shehong County. There were a total of 787 registered migrant workers who were working at other cities or running local businesses. Through reviews of qualification, 195 examinees participated in the written examinations. After procedures of e reexamination, physical examination and publicizing the names, 15 persons have the chance to participate in to today's interview.
