Recently, the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee decided to award Comrade Liu Yiquan the title of "National Outstanding Party Member". On the morning of January 24, Deputy Director Li Zhiyong of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee visited and comforted Liu Yiquan in the PLA General Hospital. Li Zhiyong read "Decisions of Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee on Awarding Comrade Liu Yiquan the Title of "National Outstanding Party Member" in public and issued the certificate, medal and prize.
Liu Yiquan was born in July, 1950 in Deyang, Sichuan. He joined the army in March, 1968 and the Communist Party of China in July, 1970 and he retired in December 2005. Liu Yiquan was working for the Archives of the People's Liberation Army with professional level-6. In April, 2006, he was rehired by the Archives of People's Liberation Army where he began to identify the documents of the volunteer army. In July, 2008, he was appointed as an exporter of the Sino-US military document cooperation office. He has been working in the military archives for 38 years, where he has worked hard creating outstanding achievements in an ordinary position and made great contributions to the military archives.
The decision points out that, Comrade Liu Yiquan is an excellent representative of Party members, an advanced fighter who practices the core value of a modern revolutionary soldier, and a timeless model worker in China’s archives. In over 30 years of archives work, he kept the tenet of the Party in mind; he has firm faith on our Party and his job; he integrated ideal and faith in dedication; he worked his heart out and made great effort; he collected over 110 thousand historical revolution documents by himself and accepted over 710 thousand military documents, therefore he was known as "Military Document Collector No. 1" Even thought he has late stage rectal cancer suffering from this unbearable disease, he grasped every second to work. With a tough mind and spirit, he held his ground in the frontline of Sino-US military document cooperation and made a positive contribution to the situation of Sino-US military diplomacy.
Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee calls on all Party members in all battlefronts in the whole country to learn from Comrade Liu Yiquan. Communists should learn his political quality of having faith and belief in the Party; his persistent spirit of dedication to complete the mission; his valued pursuit of ignoring fame and gain and his willingness to sacrifice; his outlook of life of firmness and optimism. Communists should learn from Comrade Liu Yiquan; they should have firm faith, work hard, selflessly dedicate and pursue for the best; they should make great effort to create work worthy of the times and the people and show political thought and spirit of Party members in the new age even in ordinary positions with passion, optimism and dedication.
