A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) met on Wednesday with Vietnamese Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan.
Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, noted the two countries have held a series of events to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of China-Vietnam diplomatic ties.
Nguyen Thi Doan extended condolences for the victims of the 7.1-magnitude earthquake that struck Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China's Qinghai Province on April 14.
