The CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection recently unveiled the first batch of 50 national education bases for the construction of a clean government. This is the one of many steps designed to implement the guiding principles of corruption-free government that were put forward during the 17th CPC National Congress.
The education bases should make significant progress in enriching educational content, highlighting educational themes and enhancing educational results, becoming major sites for Party members and cadres to receive related education and training, foster the sense of building a clean government and advocate anti-corruption thoughts. The education bases should also become major classes to educate children on a clean government and cultivate moral values.
After the panel conducted strict evaluations, on-site investigations and solicited opinions, it listed 50 education bases for the construction of a clean government with distinctive themes, outstanding features and high influence around the country into the first batch of national-level education bases.
The bases include the site of the First National Congress of the CPC, Jinggangshan Revolutionary Museum, Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Museum and other memorial arenas that showcase the development of the CPC during the revolutionary period.
Other bases are the Shaoshan Mao Zedong Memorial Hall, Deng Xiaoping's Former Residence, Yang Jingyu Martyrs Cemetery, Lei Feng Memorial Hall in Fushun and other memorial facilities that introduce the lives of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries, martyrs and national role models and other educational facilities built for promoting the construction of a clean government.
The CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said that each region and department should strengthen the establishment, management and utilization of the first batch of 50 national education bases for the construction of a clean government, further enrich related contents, perfect the infrastructure and enhance the display effects.
The bases should conduct a variety of educational activities to make such education more attractive and fully play their roles in promoting anti-corruption education and the education for the construction of a clean government. The bases should also provide cultural support and create a sound environment for the construction of Party conduct and a clean government as well as for the further development of anti-corruption campaigns.
