Senior leader urges using hi-tech in radio, film and television industry
Chinese senior leader Li Changchun on Friday asked the country's radio, film and television industry to apply new and high technologies, including the digital and Internet technologies.

Li, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remarks during his visit of an ongoing international radio, film and television exposition held in Beijing.

After hearing the introduction to the reform and development of China's film and television industries and watching a documentary on China's newsreels, Li said more good radio, film and TV programs should be produced to cater to people's increasing cultural needs.

The radio, film and television sectors should make better use of modern technologies to promote the digital progress in the production, transmission and broadcast of programs, he said.
