| Chinese Vice Premier Huang Ju leaves for World Summit on Information Society |

Chinese Vice Premier Huang Ju left Beijing Monday for Tunisia to attend the Tunisia Phase of the World Summit on the Information Society. Huang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, is to attend the summit at the invitation of the Tunisian government and Secretary General of the United Nations Kofi Annan. Huang will also pay official visits to Guinea, Botswana and Madagascar from Nov. 14 to 24 at the invitation of the Cuinean government, President Festus Nogae of Botswana and Prime Minister Jacques Sylla of Madagascar.
