China's top legislator leaves Uruguay for Chile
China's top legislator Wu Bangguo left Uruguay for Chile on Tuesday to continue his three- nation tour in South America.

During his stay in Uruguay, Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, had met with Uruguayan President Tabare Vazquez, President of Congress Rodolfo Nin Novoa and Julio Cardozo Ferreira, president of the Chamber of Deputies.

The two sides exchanged views on bilateral ties and other issues of common concern and agreed to join efforts to build a closer relationship.

Wu started his official visit to Uruguay on Sunday, which is the second leg of Wu's three-nation tour in South America.
