Senior officials of China and Bulgaria on Saturday pledged to work together on fighting corruption.
"China would like to work more closely with Bulgaria on deepening administrative supervision and fighting corruption," He Yong, deputy secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China (CPC), said in a meeting with Bulgarian Minister for the Civil Service Nikolai Vasilev.
He said the ruling CPC and the Chinese government have always paid much attention to building an honest and clean government and fighting corruption.
Remarkable achievements which have been made in building an honest and clean government and fighting corruption have helped ensure the country's reform and opening-up, and smooth economic construction, He said.
In response, Vasilev hailed China's accomplishments and experiences on administrative reform and in the fight against corruption.
Vasilev said Bulgaria would like to step up cooperation with China on administrative supervision and fighting corruption.
In the hour-long meeting in Great Hall of People, He also briefed the guests on China's current economic development and the nation's drive to build a harmonious society.
